Jeanna Gienke  

 On a path devoted to design and the living world, I am motivated to help people create oases in their homes and offices. With a background in fashion and landscape design I have focused my passion into biophilic design, applying our innate tendencies towards the wild into interior spaces and indoor gardens using plants, pottery and other natural elements. 

  Pith is a new creative studio and warehouse for living retail . The studio is open to the public each Saturday 11-5 . Held in a community of makers and artists, I find myself right at home taking care of plants and generating new ideas for Biophilic Design. Most recently, I’m inspired by concepts of living retail, indoor gardens and video installations of nature to help people in managing stress.  Especially in this time of technology and fast-paced lifestyles, I enjoy thinking about the ways to bring the healing elements of nature indoors.
